I don't see the time restrictions under Wireless Basic settings on MIPS (E4200v1), which is what his router is (MIPS). That is likely ARM only...
I spaced that we were talking about the Broadcom webif.
So something like .../Wireless_Advanced-wl0.asp ->Radio Time Restrictions ->Radio Scheduling instead.

yes I am discussing Radio Time Restrictions which is a feature that turns the wireless radio on and off on a schedule.
I thought someone with a router that runs that generic build would pass through here by now, guess they are getting fewer...and...

Yes, it is under the wireless advanced pages in Broadcom. I completely missed it. I have not tested this feature, so not entirely sure on whether or not it is broken on Broadcom without checking the open tickets. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I spent a while today testing the Radio Time Restrictions (Wireless/advanced) in a bunch of different ways, always off, just one hour, etc. Power cycling after setting it up. Nothing seems to work. So I am going to assume that this feature is not working on my old Broadcom device, firmware v3.0 r44715 std (11/03/20). Or possibly because I am using it more like a switch / repeater. That's too bad I really would have liked that feature. Anyway thanks to all that commented.
I did not change any clock settings when I installed DD-WRT. Just now I set my time zone enabled NTP client and entered 1.ca.pool.ntp.org . To be honest I'm not sure where to check and see if the time is correct or if this is what you meant.
I have tried to set the radio restriction to always off in Radio Time Restrictions, but it still does not turn the radio off.

The clock or time is synced?
^^^^^ this would likely be key. If the time is NOT sync'd, then you have to ensure that your gateway address is set to the upstream router IP. Without NTP sync, it's likely not going to work, perhaps. You can check on the router status page or top right corner of any page. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

My gateway is set to all 0's not the router that is upstream to this one. I set the gateway ip to the main router and applied it. NTP enabled. But it appears the time is still out by 5 hours or so.
Very cool man. I thought it was a lost cause but you were right. It did have to do with the time settings. I took a break and when I came back the time on my Broadcom has updated and was showing correctly and the wifi was gone (which was a good thing because I had the RTR set to always off to test it). Thanks so much.
In case it helps others reading this,
On the broadcom router/switch under network setup. I set the gateway to the IP of my upstream router.
On the broadcom router/switch under setup, I left the ntp client enabled and set the time zone to my time zone. I left the server ip name blank
On the upstream edgerouter x I unchecked UTC and selected time zone, then set the same time zone and again made sure ntp was enabled.
Well the time on the old router has reset itself again to

Not sure where it got that date. I am having a difficult time getting it to sync. While it is not synced the R.T.R. won't work as before.
I'm using 0.ca.pool.ntp.org on my edgerouter and it shows synced and works correctly. I have tried the same on the router I'm using as a switch/repeater with the gateway set to the upstream router and also set to all 0's. Also tried it with server name/ip blank and gateway both ways as above. Not sure where to go from here. I managed to do it once by doing the same things.
