No idea Viggen....to be honest, I've not tried any builds in a LONG time as they've all not fixed the WiFi problem since that build or have been unstable....plus, I don't want to accidentally brick my router as I'm not the greatest at un-bricking them
Sortof just waiting to see if anybody else takes the plunge and tries one of the new builds out before I dive in too....

I checked all recent builds, the only one that "worked" was 22118. I used to love dd-wrt up until i flashed a newer build on one of my other routers, and bricked it. Now its a paper weight, not worth my time or parts to fix it. Since then i've moved onto openwrt, and it turns out they have a recent build from their stable branch. For those who are interested, google "leitec ar670w", or pm me if you don't feel like "building" it. BTW, darkstrike, it's very easy to unbrick this router, google is your friend.

Thanks for the response LBattousi!
Curious, what aspect of build 22118 made it "work" as opposed to work? Haha! I've never bricked any of my own routers, luckily, but I'm just leery of having to deal with it as I have dealt with it with friends' routers before!

So, tried uploading the latest firmware to this router for the hell of it. Now mine is 'bricked'...so I surfed Google as many people suggest and figured out how to get to the router's 'Emergency Recovery' page at 192.168.0.10 for uploading firmware...decided to go back to the Factory firmware for now.
However...ANY firmware I try to upload, the browser just says "Connecting", and nothing seems to happen for however long I let it go for....am I doing something wrong...?

192.168.1.10, not 192.168.0.10, and no need to google, the solution is in this thread:
The latest release also bricked one of mine. Fixing it was simple. On a few pages back someone mentioned that if you hold down the reset button while plugging in the power, you'll get a recover webpage at 192.168.1.10
1) plug ethernet into the lan port
2) Assign your ethernet interface statically to 192.168.1.3 netmask 255.255.255.0
3) Hold down the reset button and plug the power in while the reset button is held down
4) Open up your browser and navigate to http://192.168.1.10
You'll get a webpage (you won't be able to ping the device 192.168.1.10 - don't worry about that). Hit browse, select the factory firmware .bin then upload - and when it tells you to power cycle the device.
Worked fine for me to recover a bricked device.
Don't worry, AR670 is a pretty tough one. First time you bricked the router, it was like a disaster. Then you will adapt quickly and play with no fear
I'm still using one of those routers and it's very fast and reliable. After a lot of experimenting I found dd-wrt v15693 to be the most stable build for me. It just works as expected. Anything after that build has some serious issues, including v16214.
Anyone have any idea how to disassemble ar670w? I can't find any screws around the enclosure and there doesn't seem to be any snap-on joints to take off either.

Hello. I don't know if anyone is still active in this thread, but I need some help.
I recently picked up a Chinese router that looks like a clone of the Airlink AW670W. Pictures are here: http://imgur.com/a/MsvNW/
In another thread, someone mentioned it has the same hardware as the AW670W, so I tried installing the AW670W dd-wrt firmware on it, but got errors ("Not a valid firmware").
Can someone check out my pictures and let me know if the hardware matches the AW670W?
Yes, I noticed that too. They don't match 100%, but the components look the same type and brand, and the layout is similar. Is it a close enough match to try and install the AR670W firmware via FTFP, or will that might brick it?
Also, do you think my hardware matches any other dd-wrt supported routers? I haven't been able to find internal images of other RT2880 routers to compare mine to.
