Hello all,
I have been trying to flash my DIR-301 using the instructions on the following website: http://www.shadowandy.net/2007/09/mini-flashing-guide-for-dir-300.htm
Considering that the hardware is supposed to be the same. I am setting my pc to the address of 192.168.20.80/255.255.255.0 and trying to do a “ping 192.168.20.81 –t”.
After the first seconds I powered on the router while holding the reset button (as per the guides instructions). The problem is that first the ping does not report an active host on the IP address and therefore I cant get into redboot to flash the firmware.
Has anyone else encountered a similar problem with the DIR-301? Does anyone know of a solution?
Thanks in advance!

someone needs to add a serial adapter to find out the new settings. _________________ one cigarette costs 2 minutes of your life.

View the second post, that is the pinout for the serial console on the board. _________________ WRT54GL 1.1 v.24 SP1 | 2x AR430W v.24 (both bricked ATM) | 2x F*n2100 Legend Pre4.5U & v.24 preSP2 build 13525
but when i was updating my fon, i was unable to get it to respond to redboot from a mac or linux machine. it worked fine with a pc though. _________________ 2x WRT54G v5, 2x WRT54G v2
