Last week my Netgear R6700 v3 lan ports stopped working and was wondering if I can get them functioning again. The router had r53445 on it before the lan ports stopped working and I can only access it through a wireless connection. I've had this device since late 2019 with DD-WRT on it.

I also done several factory resets and flashed the router to r53939 but it still does the same thing. Doing an nvram erase and a reboot doesn't do anything either.



This is what swconfig shows me:

The switch says nothing is connected.

That's the problem. Doesn't matter what port I plug an ethernet cable into it doesn't show any activity. Hence why it shows nothing in swconfig. I've plugged in a laptop, two desktop and a couple of unmanaged switches without any luck. I know these devices and cables work because I'm using a different router with DD-WRT on it and everything is functioning as normal when plugged into that router.

Have you tried resetting and not enabling VLANs on that tab?

Yes, I have tried resetting and also disabling VLANS. I also did a nvram erase and reboot.

As I said, the switch itself does not recognize a connection.

So the switch is defective or whatever

The only thing it recognizes is the connection to the CPU

Flash back to stock to confirm its a hardware issue.

The other thing to check is whether or not vlan1 is assigned to br0 on Setup -> Networking tab. At least I do not think that changed on Broadcom.

I went back to the stock firmware for the R6700 and the lan ports are still down. I then updated the Netgear firmware to version 1.0.4.128, which is the latest for that model, and it still says they are down. This router is a lost cause now and I'll be getting something else to replace it.
