Hello there,
I have a Linksys WRT54GL and a old version of DDWRT was installed (year 2008 or 2009).
I wanted to upgrade the firmware thanks to "Router Database" and if I remember right :
I dowloaded v3 beta Build 36330 file "dd-wrt.v24_micro_olsrd_generic.bin"
The process was fine but since : I cannot access to the router anymore through 192.168.1.1 (ethernet or Wifi mode) GUI or telnet mode.
When I ask "Ipconfig" I have a weird Ip adress assigned like : 169.254.0.168 / 255.255.0.0
And no Gateway assigned.

You did set a static IP (i.e. 192.168.1.10) to your PC, correct? Default browser settings may be redirecting to https. Only other thing I would try is Pale Moon Portable browser or check browser settings. You may have to recover from a bad flash, TFTP. Shouldn't require serial, but that is extreme case scenario.

If it is responding to pings, then you should be able to recover with TFTP. Serial would be next step. If this device was modified to run K26 builds, then JTAG may be the only option (worst case scenario). _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
