Router Model: Asus RT-AC66U
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44715 giga (11/03/20)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.241 #4737 Tue Nov 3 15:24:01 +03 2020 mips
So to explain my network setup real quick.
There is a Pi Hole running latest updates, it is both my DNS and DHCP server. 192.168.1.9
That is plugged into a Nighthawk RAX10, which is my main router. Has stock firmware, connects to the modem + PiHole. 192.168.1.1 (Modem is on 192.168.0.1)
Finally, the Asus RT-AC66U with DD WRT is running in a different room as a client bridge, via wi-fi to the RAX10. 192.168.1.100
I also have an unraid box on 192.168.1.9 that is connected to it.
Now, if I go to my PiHole and look at the DHCP server and see devices on my network, everything that connects to my main router (RAX10) has a unique IP and if I'm local, also their hostname. But any device connected to the DD WRT client bridge just, simply does not show up in my PiHole at all. I can still access my unraid server to it no issue at all. Same with the TV and console connected to that router. They can connect to the internet just fine, but they don't show up on my PiHole at all.
I just want to make sure I didn't bunger up a setting somewhere or something.

You are running an old and outdated build.

Client / Station Bridge modes have non-functional multicast and arp. Wired backhaul recommended. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Note Station bridge is not a real bridge like WDS or mesh so it has its limitations, this could be one of it
Ah ok, I totally miss understood how the Router Database worked before, and the guide I used followed it to get their router firmware.
I got the latest one now:
DD-WRT v3.0-r54569 giga (12/21/23)
I am unsure what WDS is?
I checked out the guided you linked, seems to be the same way as I currently have everything set up. Minus the IPs not showing up anywhere (which doesn't make sense to me as how do devices have internet then) it's worked fine.

Great question, was on a third party site and now I can't find it in my history.
I can't right now as I need the network, but I'll backup my settings and try WDS over the weekend and see what happens. I don't really need it to boost my wireless signal, but whatever.
So I haven't done the WDS recently, but I found something interesting. About once a week I have to reboot the router or else the devices on it crawl to a slow network wise. They never lose connection, just it suddenly becomes awful and a reboot of the router only fixies it.
I just set my router to have a once a week scheduled reboot, but I noticed this:
Quote:
It is necessary for WDS to work as intended. When the WDS AP is rebooted, manually or do to power outage, the WDS stations need to reboot in order to reconnect to the WDS AP
