From what I've read, the additional box (after the "/") in the local ip address box, replaced the box for the subnet mask, and entering "24" in it is equivalent to a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. However my isp tech support tells me that my subnet mask should be 255.255.255.192. This works fine in my DD-WRT build 44719 on a Netgear R7800. Can I use the latest build, and if so, how do I set it up. I think I may need to since I'm having issues trying to get a working OpenVPN connection between my laptop and desktop, with my current build.

I don't see how your ISP would expect that on your LAN unless you yourself are desiring a total of 62 usable host IP addresses out of the 64 total. There is no configuration on your WAN unless you are using a static IP address assigned by your ISP, in which case you would enter /26 given the proper information for your WAN IP address and subnet.

I do in fact have a static ip address with my isp, unnecessarily as I have subsequently learned. I'll cancel it in the future. Thanks for the info in the meantime.
