True!
What I did was different, I had DD-WRT installed r44715 and when I tried flashing latest DD-WRT release from web interface and after this, my router entered bootloop.
Then flashed via TFTP back r44715 and tried again to flash latest release, this time with file renamed. This time success.

Please try if you have this router!
After re-reading "Working Solution to Archer C9 V1 - software only, no serial", I am trying to wrap my brain around how you flashed 44715 without renaming the factory-to-ddwrt.bin file, but had to flash the DD-WRT upgrade by renaming the webflash file to what I presume is the version of stock firmware you flashed from (which I cannot seem to find that specific version). Because, if we go by that thread, you should've had to rename the factory-to-ddwrt.bin to flash it from UN firmware, or so I would think. Your method of upgrade is all-the-way-around unconventional, but I want 100% identical confirmation on another same v1 from another user before I can get behind this solution, when someone has already confirmed the other solution in that thread already. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

- I was flashing factory r44715 file via TFTP Recovery, remanded ArcherC8v1_tp_recovery.bin
- Then flashed r44715 webflash via DD-WRT web interface
- Then flashed r55052 webflash renamed to OEM firmware file via DD-WRT web interface
Store the firmware on the TFTP server as archerc9v1_tp_recovery.bin.

Completely unnecessary, whatsoever. This router does not require a double-tap of the same firmware version.

Again, I think this is erroneous confusion without confirmation by a third party, and, going by your first statement, I think you are not referring to a c8 and *not* a C9 and that is probably why I couldn't find the firmware file you referred to previously. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
