Hello,

Can someone please help on how to fix that router from bricking?
First I don't remember which region was the stock tp-link firmware as I saw after flashing ddwrt firmware it says something about :wrong version of firmware was flashed:
After I tried with tftp64 to recover the stock firmware and the very annoing thing is it start to write the firmware but the transef speed is around 1kb/sec which is very weird and after 60 sec. it says timeout error occurs.
The label of the router is in attchment.

and doesn't matter which stock firmware from tp'link or ddwrt I tried to flash it's the same situation.
I followed steps from https://mikepalmer.net/tp-link-archer-c7-ac1750-v2-tftp-recovery/ but without luck.

Please can anyone experienced with that problem can guide me please?

try with switch between the router and your PC ..if TFTP is working ok it should be ok...
you have to rename file, to the tftp name required/requested...you can see the log in TFTP for the file name requested...it would be something like TP-link-recovery-archerv2.bin...

Tp-Links TFTP is solid and you can unbrick it with ease ..

p.s. as looking at your pic your archer is non US nor IL version so use the other .bin files..(normal)

if you get the correct name, for the tftp it should work...100%

Set anticipation window to 1024 or 2048.

-OR-

download Archer_C7_V2_150427.zip, unzip, and rename the firmware file to ArcherC7v2_tp_recovery.bin

From the OpenWRT C7 Wiki:
Quote:
Archer C7 v2 may require region-specific firmware.

Quote:
Note an annoying firmware bug: For at least Archer C7 v2, there is a bug in the bootloader that causes it to erase only 124 sectors of the flash (slightly less than 8M) before writing (rather than the expected 250-ish for 16M of flash). Therefore, this method will not write images completely correctly, but images that find everything they need within those 124 sectors will correctly erase the rest and proceed. Other, larger images will appear to flash correctly and then will boot to see corrupted contents in the upper 8M of flash, leading to all kinds of excitement (such as squashfs being unable to find its indices). That said, the pre-built OpenWRT images (as of 22.03.2) have small enough kernels and squashfs roots that they fit completely within the 124 sector window available; larger images can then be landed using sysupgrade, which knows to erase the second half of flash, too.

On the latter, I do not know if this is OpenWRT's bootloader or the stock OEM firmware bootloader. If using anticipation window of 1024 bytes on tftpd32/64, unmanaged switch in between PC and router, and static IP of 192.168.0.66 on the PC does not work with LAN or WAN ports, then the only options are serial or JTAG.

if you look at the pic for serial port..
https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer_c7

than you will see RX, TX, GRD, VCC

VCC its not needed...also TX goes to RX and so....

also

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=323931

and the most important
https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer_c7#if_flashing_via_tftp_fails
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

finally, there is a time window to interrupt the serial with tpl
than when in serial mode, you have to erase and re-write the recovery/firmware.bin again using tftp to upload the file.bin (read the openwrt link carefully... if its not responding on those moves...than its something very wrong...and it may be beyond recover... Confused

"Btw..what do you mean exactly by also TX goes to RX and so....? "

It means you have to connect TransmitX to RceiveX and RceiveX to TransmitX... Razz
As many people believe it should be TX to TX and RX to RX...and its wrong... Laughing

To clarify: The TX on the router PCB is connected to the RX on the USB-UART-TTL adapter and the RX on the router PCB is connected to the TX on the USB-UART-TTL adapter. And no, not kidding. Many people over the course of this forum's existence and elsewhere have gotten it wrong many times and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. Also, any bad connections will affect output in the PuTTY terminal.

Ok,

What I tried is:

Change the cables from tx to rx exactly as you described above. In that case nothing happend in putty during flash while on adapter ttl/usb blinked two red lights which means is wrong cables connected.
Set it up putty to 115200,added vt100 in translation,parity none,flow control none,stop bit 1.
In tftpd64 i set it up also exactly as mention above the link.
And I tried almost all stock firmwares from tp link, ddwrt and openwrt without any progress.
All the time when I try to flash with tftpd,it goes to finish uploading with the image but after reboot it start to blinking the lights for 5 sec. and it restart the router and so over.
I think that bootloader is somehow broken because I cannot sent 'tpl' command in putty and I see only gibberish words.
