Hope this is not another bug in a compilation script as it was before. I'll wait till someone with recovery tools try it and confirm it works.

Please be aware that the LAST entry in the traclog from BrainSlayer is very clear NOT to use the wrt610n builds:

That only applies to that revision not the newest ones.

Let's wait till someone with a JTAG attached will try this build on WRT610N. There is no simple recovery procedure, and flashing w/o it is suicidal

There is a new BS build out today

There is a WRT610N binary in there!!!

I wonder if it works

It would still be to have v2 support, since there seems to be more than a few out there.

Not sure if it really changes WRT610 support just yet. But I noticed in trac, Brainslayer applied changeset 11501 specifically for an issue with this router. It may not yet be supported, but at least it's being worked on.

The Linksys WRT610N has a standard Linksys jtag port only difference is the jtag header is much smaller than the WRT54G. You can buy the smaller headers or you can solder the wires to the ports directly or in the case of the links below just stick them in they. Then just use Tjtagv3-RC-1 http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22655 to unbrick your router as it has support for the WRT610N. You can use the jtag to flash the Linksys firmware just rename it kernel and flash with the jtag it will take a long time to flash.

Jtag it to unbrick it if needed. (Read these post) search does work.

this is very beta! not support for bricks! flash at own risk! only for experienced users!

Ok. It works. I have lan and wifi.

The only issue so far is that it only lists 2.4 Ghz frequencies for the 5Ghz radio and I cannot set a wide channel.

My next test is to intentionally brick my wrt610n and see if I can push the mini build w/o the use of the console. (i.e. to debrick) Smile

More to come.

Thanks BS!

well. The 610 mini from 1/21 doesn't load. So don't try to de-brick with it yet.

So, the only issue so far is the 5Ghz radio frequencies.

thx.

Hi,

does the samba server functionality work with this release?

Thanks,

Bartek
