Bump. I've found no clear evidence either way on this one, but I thought I recall readying that there may have been a special build for a similar router (PPC).

Is there any way we can make some contribution and make a request for support? I am willing to contribute some money if we can get DD-WRT support for this.

Hello tatsuya46,

Do you or any other developer can provide support for Netgear 4700? I know few other members on other forum, are trying to accumulate donations for this.

I might be able to communicate to them about it, if there is hope.

Regards

i would gladly donate something for support for that router ... their is no alternative firmware ... netgear firmware is so limited, can't bridge, can't dhcp foward, don't have dnsmasq, can't be setup as access point into the same tcpip segment ... lan can't be set in wan ip range ... etc ...

please please support this router!

thanks

Idea

Hi,

I'm just wondering if along with all people who are following this tread and who are really interested in see their WNDR4700 running with a better firmware, we could try to solve the problem of the missing donation. Maybe, agreeing to collect some money to buy a used machine on the web (i.e. like this here).

If we are many, the price is no more so high and I think that a used machine could be enough to go ahead with develop (DD-WRT team kindly confirm Rolling Eyes ).

What do you think guys?

Could we try to understand how many we would be?

Newegg has it on sale today for $59.99 with $20 rebate. Use Promo Code EMCWPGP67

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122487

I wish I could afford to purchase two of them and send one to DD-WRT.
