I have this router too and I'am also install the DD-wrt firmware. In my first try i can't flash the latest firmware WHR-G300 21-05-09 via tftp ,but then I try to flash the old version 030309 with success!
After successfull flash I'am updated via web the latest one,but looks like that dyndns not work form me.I do a hard reset after and before flash.
Is it anyone with the same problem or is just me?
sorry for my last post, becouse I write it to fast!
When I'am reboot the router again Dyndns work without any problems, also the port forward work fine .

Yes, its working.
I had build 05/21/09 working fine, over 1 week.
I recently upgraded to 06/03/09 build as well.
Try the 05/21/09 build first - was nice and stable. _________________ Soylent Green Is People !

flashed 12255 (3-Jun) so far so good, was having a weird thing happened after reboot when first flashed the 16-May version.
Now the question: I can't find the VLAN page anymore, is that the ralink chips cant have the VLAN feature enabled like the broadcom build? _________________ Need Routers? Visit our shop!

Hi, i have problems with every build i have found for Buffalo WHR g300n.
My ISP limits my connection to only one computer through mac address, pppoe and uses TTL limit, so i had to put ddwrt to this router to run ttl adjusting command for outgoing connections, but with every biuld when i clone mac, adjust PPPoe, wireless and ttl command and restart the router, then i cant ping the router again, cant access the webinterface and have to reset it. Can anyone tell me if this is a problem of the biulds or i dont do anything right.
Would aprriciate every answer.
I have a similar issue. I have tried uploading the 0303009,150509,180509,050609 firmwares and I get very similar results. The flash works but when I try and make changes it stops responding. Even pulling the plug and plugging it back in doesn't work. The wireless LED is constant (usually it blinks while booting). If I reset I can log back into it. Also, I cannot seem to tftp flash the device anymore (I did it with the original Buffalo firmware installed. Is there the original Do I need the original Buffalo flash? Is the Buffalo flash available?
update: I current have 050609 installed. I saved all sorts of settings and it still worked (including the wireless settings). But when I changed the WAN MAC address under MAC ADDRESS CLONE and saved settings, then rebooted it, I could no longer connect to it.
I have multiple WHR-G300N routers I would like to use on the same subnet and therefore have a need to edit the default mac addresses.
Mac cloning renders the router unreachable for me, as has already been noted.
Using NVRAM to set/commit only sticks for the Wan interface. The lan interface always regresses to the default no matter how many commit commands I give it :-)
Submitting:
nvram set lan_hwaddr=00:1D:73:11:20:12
nvram set et0macaddr=00:1D:73:11:20:12
nvram set wan_hwaddr=00:1D:73:11:20:13
to the web shell apears to work according to the status page, but not, according to ifconfig. I was trying to develope a startup script to address this need, but can't get it to take as such a script. A delay did not help either.

I am flash the latest BS 12262 05/06/09 version and at first apply of setup settings work well, but after 1 day I try to change some settings and looks like that when I press the apply button router lost the settings and wireless is no longer avalible,so i must restart the router several times and then I can connect to it only from local port.I'am not change the ip of the router, only mtu and wireless channel settings.
I didn't see that this had been asked, but is there the chance that the SSH features (for tunnelling purposes) will ever be enabled on the whr-g300n firmware?
Thanks for all the support and effort for making dd-wrt available for this device.

I use SSH for tunneling with this router just fine. You need to enable BOTH SSHD's - remote management and the normal SSHD

Hi people, I am new here. I have read it a lot and I have just one doubt, since this router doesnt have external antenna, the range is it good or just ok? I am also looking at the WL-500W from Asus? Do you guys think this one will be better? I dont really care about the usb stuff.
