I just made an update of the firmware on a DIR-600B1 ( build 16214 ) and i took some time to test the repeater mode with virtual interface.It seems that in a "normal way" is not possible ( if i do this on Asus-Wl520G it works right away).So with this normal way in this router, only i get 0.0.0.0 in the wan port, but if i enable Mac Address Clone and change the Wireless Mac ( Clone Wireless Mac ) for the Lan Mac of the router you will see the Wan Port changing from 0.0.0.0 to "xx.xx.xx.xx".In other words , just simply copy the lan mac of the router and then paste it in the Clone Wireless Mac field.But there's a problem with Repeater Mode , the router just simply repeats 2 SSID's, the physical interface SSID and the Virtual Interface SSID.
Who has this units , just do tests and post the feedback.I think there's some bugs or the hardware just can't do his job in a "Normal Way".
