if there was a question mark at the end of that sentence, the answer is: I'm waiting to see what's going on with the Linksys WRT160N v.2, which uses the same hardware. As it's a more popular model, it will be the first to run on dd-wrt.

Thanks for the information and apologize for the omission. Could I understand that when firmware for Linksys WRT160N v2 is ready it
will be applicable for EDIMAX BR-6574N?

I don't think it will work right away, but maybe it won't take much work to adapt it to our Edimax. When the devs complete the Linksys version we'll ask them nicely to make it work with the BR-6574n too. Smile

seems to be no interest in donating a device

I'm a little confused here, if the company released the source which i'm assuming has the firmware drivers included, why would you need a device?

Just ask for volunteers from the community to test the builds for you.

i've already donated 15 euro, even though i don't use dd-wrt for the moment. the idea was that others might join me and donate the amount needed for buying a edimax 6574n.

Id be happy to donate this amount as well to. As I to use ddwrt firmware on a baffalo router that has done me execptionaly well and saved me alot of money have to give credit to the desighners envolved,

I to now have this router and think it would benifit running this firmware as i just think the stock firmware is buggy, Can we get a few others to help out give the developers the credit they need guys,

We can have this router DDWRT'd in no time,
