|
Hello,
I recently installed dd-wrt on linksys e3000 as well as netgear wndr3700v2. I noticed that the gui is significantly slower on wndr3700. When I'm accessing it from LAN usually takes 4-5 seconds to load a page.
Is it normal? or I might want to try settings like QoS or re-flash the wndr3700?
I enabled remote SSH over port 12345 on wndr3700. I also configured the PuTTY such that port 12345 forwarded to localhost:80. While I could *sometimes* access the web gui over SSH (type http://localhost:12345 in my browser), it is very slow (15-20 seconds to load a page when it works). Most of time it just locked itself and the SSH command window freeze itself (had to restart PuTTY to start another session).
I'm not an expert on network stuff. Just hope to get my remote GUI to work smoothly. I wonder why these could happen. SSH works smoothly on itself, until browser access localhost:12345. Could it be firewall settings like UDP/TCP stuff? My wndr3700 is behind an AT&T modem/router configured such that port 12345 is allowed (other stealth mode).
Any comment is apprecaited. Thanks! |
