Choosing new WAN MAC address resolves packet loss and DHCP?

Guys,

I also used the default MAC address and did not input the one used on the WRTG54g v5 router.

Can you please direct me where to obtain a new one? I keep loosing internet after a few minutes or even seconds and I think this may be the problem.

Any help will be appreciated it,

Your real MAC address is written on the sticker on the bottom of your router. Use the commands redhawk gave to fix your MAC address, or you can follow the wiki guide to revert to stock firmware and then reinstall dd-wrt using a custom killer file that has your correct MAC.
