any news on this? I'm looking to upgrade my virgin broadband connection to 50mb and they give this free as part of the upgrade.

I have a WHR-AG-108 running ddwrt at the moment and could not do without running ddwrt on my router but I'm not sure the WHR-AG-108 could handle 50mb even for wired clients.

It must be surely? They give this "special" router away as it can cope with the high speeds!

yes 270mhz is not enough.

a linksys 200mhz can do ~25mbit wan->lan
i have a 240mhz buffalo that can do only 16mbit wan->wifi
so surely the 270mhz will not be enough to route all of teh 50mbit.
buy a alix or avila and u are save!

sorry i see right now that this is OFF TOPIC Exclamation

I just recently brought a WNR2000 v1 for a very cheap price. I want to put DD-WRT on it. What's the status?

Guru's, please shed some light here as I'm sure there're many "victims" who purchased this router for cheap and are looking forward to be able to run dd-wrt on it. So, is there any hope this router will ever be able to run dd-wrt? Is it just a matter of time or there's something that makes it completely impossible?
Thanks.

If the router is so cheap then it shouldn't be any problem for a bunch of U.S users to pool together and donate $5-10 each to cover the cost for a donated router + shipping to Germany.
One of you have to collect the funds from the others (via Paypal for instance), buy it and ship it.
