I have a WNR2000 v1 that is just sitting around, and some spare time on my hands. Anything I can do to further the cause of porting DD-WRT?

Sorry it took so long. I opened up my WNR and took some photos. I didn't take any heat sinks or RF shields off, if anyone knows how to do this without damaging the router, please let me know.

Please note that there appear to be two antenna connectors on the main board.

Here are the FCC's internal photographs, unfortunately they are pretty low resolution. PDF attachment.

I guess I would be willing to donate my router. Is anyone willing to pay for the shipping to Germany? That would make it much easier for me. Please PM me if you are interested.

How much? Perhaps some user can gather the appropiate amount.

I really don't know the amount. Figure a 2 pound (1kg) box, maybe 12x12x6 inches (30 x 30 x 15 cm), shipped from the USA to (I assume) Germany.

I'll wire you some $ for shipping. Find out how much it costs.

wouldn't it be cheaper to order one from an onlineshop in germany and let the shop send it directly to them?

i don't know about united states, i live in switzerland and sending that kind of a package would cost me about half of the hardware price

edit: just forgot that there's an v1 and v2 of this kind a thing.. Evil or Very Mad

I just printed out the postage and packed up a v1 I got from a client a few months back. I use mainly Linksys and Asus routers, and considering this one wasn't yet supported by DD-WRT, it was of absolutely no use to me. Wink Hopefully some of you can get DD-WRT goodness after the devs get a chance to work on this one. (Be patient though, they are busy!)

WNR2000 is a small router and it was only $12 for priority postage from USA. Althougg NewEgg has refurb WNR2000s for $25, so I suppose it is about 50% of the cost of a "new" one.

That is very cool! And cheaper than ebay in germany aprox 20€ + postage. The user "storm_to" was willing to add some $ perhaps you get something back.

Regards
