I've read, but I still dont get why the router database brings me the same old firmware, i always relied on the router database to find my firmwares.

So this means I can upgrade to that build ?
Thanks!

There are different hardware versions of the WR941ND and the version is printed on the routers label and so is the FCC ID # which also is good for router identification.

If you are not able to take a photo sharp enough to show the flash chip marking then it is a waste of forum server space to upload it.
There are not that many letters and numbers on the chip so you can easily write them in a forum post.

Yes, that is the only thing I can read from your photo and it is the mfgr name of the chip.
If you can't read the numbers then use a magnifying glass!!

You have still not provided any info about this WR941 apart from a flash chip mfgr name, you can't expect an answer to whether the router is supported or not with only that piece of information.

Just want to say thank you dd-wrt team!

I've successfully flashed my wr941nd (ver 3.6) with BrainSlayer's V24-preSP2-r18777 today as I didn't dare to try the latest build which is r19519 at this time being.

This is my first flashed router with dd-wrt and I'm impressed with all the utilities integrated in less than 4Mb firmware (like memory monitoring, those bandwidth monitoring charts, Wivz survey is interesting and other features I don't know how to use, for now) and I've also registered the highest wireless download speed with only 27-30% signal quality as the router says (lots of walls and interference).

I will try the latest builds if I'll have problems with this one and if I see some positive comments about them, but since then I'll try tweaking what I have.

HI everybody,

For my first post, i'll have a question that i can find answer.

I have a Tp-Link tl-wr941N. if i understand well, at the end of the "S/N" number is the version of it. It is a Ver:5.1.

When i check compatibility of my routeur in the website "routeur database", it only show ver1.0 / ver2.0 / ver3.0 / ver 4.0 firmware.. Doest it mean my routeur isnt compatible or are those version "firmware version" and my "ver:5.1" an hardware version?

Can you let me know which of the version should i better use?
Also, i saw that the compatible version are all BETA...

Could you please help me? i am afraid there is a possibility to brick my brand new routeur:(

Thanks a LOT

Yes. The router database is outdated. The new builds will be at: ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2012/

Holy fck!

How do you find these? I've been lost on this wiki and the DDWRT site for hours now, and I just found your answer with some google help. Noob question. Can I flash this one directly to a brand new 3.6 version? Thank you for your answer in advance! Smile

I found many people here, who has same issue, but no solution. Anyone solved this issue?
