According to this http://kioan.users.uth.gr/wireless/cantenna/ calculator I need a antenna with a diameter 75-90mm, isn't that too large ? Confused

No that's the ~ size range. Pringles cans are actually to small (to function correctly as a waveguide).
I'd stay as close to the 90mm as I could find materials (larger aperture).

To connect
Quote:
N type Female Chassis-mount connector with a RP-SMA connect
try searching for
"N male to RP-SMA male Pigtail Cable LMR195"
or
"N-Type Male to RP-SMA Male Pigtail Cable"
that should find you a few.

yousaf are you using the cantenna as a stand alone antenna or are you feeding a dish?

Short answer the pigtail should be long enough to reach.
If you are using an extension coax then the pigtail can be very short (6 inches) just long enough to keep the stiff thicker transmission line from torquing the connector off the router.
If the pigtail will be the only transmission line then get one long enough to allow convenient placement of the router and antenna.

Personally if I needed one over ~ 3 meters or 10 feet I'd go to an extension made of low loss cable like LMR-400.
I bought quite a lot of LMR-400 before dd-wrt, now I use it in short lengths as fly-leads and pieces for experimental antennas.
With (home-brew) power over ethernet I can use cat-5 for the long runs and mount the router in a little enclosure very close to the antenna.

I get my pigtails from flea-bay and I order extra in case of failure. Unless you live in a large city online may be your only option.
Don't be to concerned with length get one (or 2) a little longer than you think you need.
I find 3 foot ones to be the most useful personally.

The technical explanation is nice but simple suggestions with model numbers would also do.
