Fail firmware upgrade on my Linksys E1000

I have done a search and havent found any answers to what people are doing if they have this problem just how somoeone flashed an image and it worked. I have downloaded several .bin files and they all fail even the one from the cisco website. Any ideas on what i can do to fix this other than buy another?

From the management mode it keeps telling me invalid image format.

Look here. Find your e1000 version then click on install guide.

I have it is version 2.0.0.1 according to the status in GUI and V2 on the sticker on the bottom. I have tried the install guides and it still fails.

I think 2.0.0.1 is the firmware version (release notes):

http://downloads.linksys.com/downloads/69/211/E1000_Customer_Release_Notes,0.txt

try updating to the latest stock:

http://downloads.linksys.com/downloads/firmware/1224659832444/FW_E1000_2.1.02.006_US_20130115.bin

try this one if you want to upgrade from stock to dd-wrt:

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2013/02-11-2013-r20675/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-20675_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_e1000v2.bin

i have tried the latest one from the cisco/linksys website. Ill try the other one here soon, I think there is something really wrong with the device.
