The SPCA5XX driver is required. This post details another Linux user's source modifications to reduce the camera's bandwidth requirements.

You can download the driver package using the ipkg command.
First you must have JFFS2 storage enabled.
Package name is kmod-spca5xx

I managed to get 2 printers and a flash drive running on the 600N router. Now i want to try getting a webcam on it. is this possible, and if someone has done this, could you please point me in the correct direction.

Router : Linksys WRT 600N
Firmware : dd-wrt.v24-11474_NEWD_mega.bin
WebCam : Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000

I do see a kmod-videodev package on openwrt:

Package: kmod-videodev
Version: 2.4.30-brcm-5
Depends: kernel (2.4.30-brcm-5)
Section: sys
Architecture: mipsel
Maintainer: OpenWrt Developers Team <openwrt-devel@openwrt.org>
MD5Sum: 7103e6a7a6fa3d95322e0e259bca0620
Size: 6382
Filename: kmod-videodev_2.4.30-brcm-5_mipsel.ipk
Source: http://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/branches/whiterussian/openwrt/target/linux/linux-2.4
Description: Video For Linux kernel support

Will this be the right package to install? and is the correct command 'ipkg install package_name' to install this?

Thanks
