I just checked, they seem switched. If v24 sp1 is selected, you get the beta. If the beta is selected, you get the v24 sp1 release.
Strange, from the filedates it should be ok (SP1 2008-10-22, SP2 2009-01-30). Do you see the same file dates?
Looks correct on the website, here are the MD5 of the files when you download the micro-generic version. Unless things have been fixed since I last installed them a few days ago.
First of all, I'd like to say that this is a great idea and will (hopefully) help reduce the number of threads asking about images compatible with different routers. I've noticed a couple of things, though, and have listed some changes that I believe should be made.
Changes for WRT600N v1.0:
*Mini build not required for initial flash; any non-micro build will work just fine (including mega).
*Special, trailed file is not required for TFTP flashing.
*Micro build does not support gigabit switches- should be removed.
Changes for WRT600N v1.1:
*Mini build not required for inital flash: any non-micro build will work just fine (including mega), provided that it has been trailed.
*Special, trailed file is required for inital flash and subsequent TFTP flashes (not web flashes, however).
*Micro build does not support gigabit switches- should be removed.
Changes for all routers with gigabit swtiches (WRT350N, WRT600N, WRT610N, etc):
*Micro build does not support gigabit switches and should be removed from the list of compatible images. (LAN ports will cease to work if the image is flashes and the router will need to either be recovered via TFTP or Wifi flash [TFTP recommended]). _________________ WRT54G v3 - v24 r14471M NEWD Eko - AP

suggestions:
filter feature, so the user can filter routers which have gigabyte nic,n wireless and USB.
list all the details for the router in the Router details sections, not only Chipset,ram and flash;
When searching for router, list Known incompatible devices match that keyword as well. For unknown version of devices, maybe put a link there like pop a ticket? So someone can put it into incompatible or leave it. _________________ [Broadcom]

I second the suggestions of being able to see which routers have cpu, ram, flash, wifi type, switch speeds and maybe more, as I used the "supported devices" list extensively for deciding on a router that suited my needs (and wallet) when I had to choose which router model to get.
And I would do the same again if I were to upgrade to a newer router model today (with WiFi-N, gigabit switch and USB ports)
A note about the Asus wl500gp v1:
I had to use the tftp solution to install dd-wrt on my routers (at one time I had eight of the same model and they all needed the tftp metod applied).
Also I had to use the three step tftp method with
first tftp load wl500g-clear-nvram.trx,
then tftp load wl500g-recover.trx,
finaly tftp load dd-wrt-v24_mini_asus.trx
to get step four: to web loading the dd-wrt-v24_mega_generic.bin file
Either way, it would be nice with at tftp link in the wl500gp v1 as well.
Finally an interactive database, very good
Just one suggestion: under additional information put a link to the flash procedure fort the router. Also I think that the tools should be linked in that section too or maybe in a dedicated Tools section _________________ 2x Fonera 2100; v24 final

I think it would be helpful if the description linked to the pages that described the different builds. Also, I'd like to filter by build type the same way the "Supported by" filter works.

I searched database for a wrtu54g-tm received an answer of 0 routers found. I beleive this router could handle DD-WRT because there are forum post about it.
This router is ralink based and currently not supported.

Great so far, some feedback on a bug I found.
WRT54G v8 Routers
The download link gives you v24 SP2, which I didn't notice until after I loaded it. v24 SP2 for the v8 has a bug where after loading, the DHCP server does not work for LAN/WLAN. If you assign your computer a static IP, you can get back in, didn't get much further after that because I knew I had the wrong release. Loaded v24 SP1, from the "Downloads" area and everything worked fine.
I gotta be honest, What I see happening is that things are being added all the time to dd-wrt while there are bugs that are not getting fixed. there are instability issues even while NEW features are being added. I wish the devs would STOP adding new features until all the bugs are fixed and the code is stabilized. Stop adding new hardware support and features until the firmware is finished and rock solid stable. as a manager I just cannot agree with all the new development and new support when there are plenty of old issues that just do not get resolved....memory leaks, upnp, top command not working, httpd eating up CPU, things like that should be fixed once and for all. adding new support SHOULD NOT break things when they are stable, but we are seeing a chain reaction of things breaking other things because of new things. Find a stopping point and stop adding new stuff, and get it stable and solid, thats my 2 cents. _________________ 1 WRT160N v3 - remote AP WPA2 Personal Aes dd-wrt-mini-trailed CPU OC400,

What is the status on Ralink devices? Did BrainSlayer discontinue support? He was doing some serious work with Ralink not long ago.
The status is: currently not supported. Not more, not less.
So basically what you are telling me is that you don't know the status on Ralink any more than I do. Fair enough. I guess BrainSlayer is the only one who does.
Lets not talk anymore about this subject here. I was hoping for simple definitive answer but we are beyond that now. I would rather not hijack the thread.
