I have been playing with 2 different routers (net gear wndr3400v2 and Linksys wrt600n specifically) and have found that using NAT I lose wireless speed with dd-wrt. I have a 100mbs cable connection and I get around 90-94mbs (speedtest.net) with standard firmware on these devices while with dd-wrt it's always about 60-75mbs. I don't think it's directly a problem with dd-wrt as I also tested an airport extreme (standard firmware of course) and it did the exact same thing as dd-wrt firmware. I read something about some firmware using accelerated NATing but that dd-wrt didn't include that.

Bottom line, just to open up discussion, what is the best way to work towards getting my wireless NAT (eth is fine) performance to be equivalent to original firmware with dd-wrt.

Thanks in advance
