In client mode, BS's V24 preSP2 build 11667(release on 21st feb) is more stable than other builds later.

It's less memory usage and better connection rate.

I tried all the newer builds later, as well as Eko's 11793 build, and at last, I flash back to 11667. it's wonderful.

My router is Netcore NW618, BCM 5354 Rev 2, 16M/4M, and I used mini build.

Yes, i found this too. BS 11667 and 11697 is very very stable.

My router is wrt54g v4, flash file is mini-wrt54g.

PS: I dont know which mini file (mini-wrt54g and mini-generic) is correct for wrt54g v4.

According to database of Supported Device in this website, Linksys WRT54G V4 should be generic build.
But both should work because it use broadcom chip. I don't know which will be better, please refer to

Generic version:

Quote:
Generic version ( is )for flashing via web interface on all supported devices (including Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS) and for flashing Siemens SE505 with boot tftp on 192.168.2.1

dd-wrt.v23_<type>_wrt54g.bin

Quote:
tftp versions for WRT54G. You CAN use this to flash via web interface but do so only AFTER you have done so using the mini version. These versions were just made specifically for TFTPing to those routers. (v5/v6 note: Since the WRT54G/GS v5-v6 uses a modified WAP54Gv3 once made 'linux ready', it will not accept these standard WRT54G/GS firmwares. You must use the 'generic' build for TFTPing to these units).

I've got this suggested by redhawk0 on 5 whr-hp-g54 and it has been the best for me so far.

No, I haven't tried it. Does it have yours or redhawk0s

blessing? What is the difference between it and the one I'm using?

It is newer. Might fix some issues that might not effect you and that router. Just wanted to know if you had found the 11296 better than 11793, and switched back.

Which day was BS-11697 released on ?

I am tired to flash firmware, 11667 is the most stable, so I flash back to 11667, but I guess I don't try 11697. how do you think about 11667 and 11697 ?

BS-11697: ftp://www.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/280209/

11697 is almost the same as 11667, i'm using 11697 because it released later.

I down-graded from BS'd Build 11777 (that has known issues) to BS's Build 11667 after reading your post. I didn't want to jump to the latest build since I need my equipment running. I'll see in the next week or so how build 11667 works out.
