XPress Technology is Dell's version of Frame Bursting, not Afterburner.
I don't understand why they say it's a proprietary version of frame bursting, though. If I turn on Dell's frame bursting is it doing something different/better as regular frame bursting. It's dumb.

Wonderful post. Please keep the so called too-technical inside as links are boring. Abuse of hyper-links kills the Internet. I want this post to remains the core wireless reference.
BTW, it should be embedded in the firmware instead of the current help. Other way could be to provide .... a link to this post in the firmware so freeing nvram memory for 4MB devices and allowing owners to have a small /jffs.
I read your cool info maybe too quickly, but it seems I miss something about DFS and radar detection.

On Services, Hotspot page, i also see Zero IP config. I read somewhere that Zero IP config is available only in Special Build. But i'm using free build. Does this mean this setting is there but it is disabled?
If the Zero IP config is enabled in free version, could someone teach me how to use it?

tatsuyo46 made an Atheros wireless settings page that IMO ought to be merged with the original one but I've been spending all my time on VLAN's. There's lots of overlap between the two pages and it should be consolidated so that they don't have two separate explanations for all the settings that overlap.

Anybody knows how to use antennas properly with N-mode? I haven't found any proper documentation on that.
Situation:
P2P between WRT610Nv1 & WRT320N @5GHz, N-only, Client mode, build 14929 NEWD-2 K2.6 on both.
Problem:
advanced settings allow only "left" & "right" for TX/RX antennas, but there are 3 antennas on both routers...
Questions:
- does or will dd-wrt support 3x3 streams? (I guess not at the moment, as the max link is 300Mbps, which is 2x2@40MHz wide with 64-QAM as I know.)
- does the 610N/320N HW support 3x3 streams at all?
- can I assign antennas properly with current version at all?
- do I need all 3 antennas (per router) to keep stable link @ 300Mbps?

I think we're all left guessing based on the information available. MIMO requires using multiple antennas so if you want MIMO to work properly then I believe you must leave the antenna selection on auto.

There's hardly any 3x3 MIMO hardware available. AFAIK none of the supported chipset makers (Atheros/Broadcom/Ralink) have any 3x3 MIMO router SoC's.
You only need one antenna per MIMO spacial stream on each end so for 2x2 you would need 2 antennas on each end. Extra antennas do help though which is why the higher end 2x2 MIMO devices have a 3rd antenna. _________________ Read the forum announcements thoroughly! Be cautious if you're inexperienced.

Bluetooth Coexistence
An 802.11 device and Bluetooth can interfere with each other when the 802.11 device operates on the 2.4 GHz band. All Bluetooth devices operate at the 2.4 GHz band. If you experience wireless disconnects, decreased range or speed, and other connectivity issues when you turn on some of your Bluetooth devices, try to change this option to "Enable" (this will make the router and Bluetooth device to take turns in using the spectrum for communication) or "Preemption" (the router will inform the Bluetooth device about the channel it is operating on, and the Bluetooth device can preemptively disable communication on the respective Bluetooth channels).
Please note that this option requires your Bluetooth device to "cooperate". If the Bluetooth device doesn't implement the coexistence techniques, using this option will have no effect.
