Hey guys, I am running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/22/14) std - build 25697 on my TL-WDR3600 V1, but that build is getting old Smile. So I am wondering if some of you may be able to help me and point me in the direction of the latest stable build for that router. I see that some builds have WiFi issues and such and I certainly want to avoid those. Also, can I jump to a 2016 release from build 25697 directly?
The build I am running like all previous ones cuts the WAN speed in half, is that problem fixed in the latest releases?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Ok, so from what I read, hardware NAT is out of question with DD-WRT, with that said I see claims that the Atheros SoC should be able to handle 100-150Mb/s, but that's not the case I see here. I have 100Mb/s WAN connection, but with my TPLINK TL-WDR3600 v1 running build 25697 from Dec 22, 2014 I am lucky to get about 40Mb/s (yes I am using wired connection). I would be happy with 80Mb/s, is there a recent build that is stable enough and providing such speed? Or are there settings I can try with my current build to squeeze some extra bandwidth?

as far as i ve learned with DD-WRT OS there are few factors for good WAN speed, good router CPU, a lot of router RAM and good stable build to handle good WAN speed. So far no Hardware Nat support neither in OpenWRT or so ...
There is a trick to run the router without NAT .
That means the connection will be directly redirected and the unit will be in router mode instead of gateway that you probably run now... read how to in wiki Razz
there are advantages and disadvantages in this mode but it suppose to work i guess Smile
