Doesnt seem like anybody's really working on it... no confirm that any programmer/compiler has their hands on a test unit yet it seems? I'm about to shelve mine and replace with a DD-WRT enabled WNDR3300 because of this but I'd love to be able to use it someplace else if it ever gets done.
The developers said they have generic RaLink support, I'm willing to test it out on my router, I already have a WZR-HP-300NH running DD-WRT. I replaced the belkin with the Buffalo. I'd buy them one and have it shipped but I lack the funds right now to do so.
It would be great if this could happen, i'm convinced I can get much more out of my router if I could get some half decent firmware on it. Otherwise it's going to be joining a rather large pile of wireless routers that i've bought and been dissapointed with.
I would also like to know any progress, especially: did the DD_WRT-group get actual hardware yet? Maybe we could provide them one router together, to share the money? I would really like to have a better interface there...
I had a Walmart gift card and not knowing what else to get I picked up one of these. I'm disappointed that it's not supported by the dd-wrt team. I see there are other RAlink routers in the list and I suppose I could try to load it and if it breaks the device I can return it. Does anyone have a suggestion to which FW I should attempt? _________________ (Internet)---WRT54Gv6~~WAP54Gv3~~WRT54Gv6 all 3 running v24-RC4-micro-8106 in WDS array w/ 6 PCs+xbox+printer
Sash, I should be able to purchase one to be shipped to you by the beginning of next week. I should also be able to throw some 'financial encouragement' your way, too. Nothing much, but enough to say 'thanks' in advance.
