Doesnt seem like anybody's really working on it... no confirm that any programmer/compiler has their hands on a test unit yet it seems? I'm about to shelve mine and replace with a DD-WRT enabled WNDR3300 because of this but I'd love to be able to use it someplace else if it ever gets done.

The developers said they have generic RaLink support, I'm willing to test it out on my router, I already have a WZR-HP-300NH running DD-WRT. I replaced the belkin with the Buffalo. I'd buy them one and have it shipped but I lack the funds right now to do so.

I would really like to see DD-WRT on the Belkin F5D8235-4 v2. I don't have any problem with the original firmware from my side but DD-WRT would be so much better.

IS it possible ? are they at least trying ?

It would be great if this could happen, i'm convinced I can get much more out of my router if I could get some half decent firmware on it. Otherwise it's going to be joining a rather large pile of wireless routers that i've bought and been dissapointed with.

What needs to be done to help this along?

I would also like to know any progress, especially: did the DD_WRT-group get actual hardware yet? Maybe we could provide them one router together, to share the money? I would really like to have a better interface there...

Has anyone tried any existing working builds aimed at RT3052F chipset, like Buffalo WHR-G300N ?

I had a Walmart gift card and not knowing what else to get I picked up one of these. I'm disappointed that it's not supported by the dd-wrt team. I see there are other RAlink routers in the list and I suppose I could try to load it and if it breaks the device I can return it. Does anyone have a suggestion to which FW I should attempt?

Anybody tried the Manf. website?

https://www.belkin.com/support/opensource/

The only hook is you need to compile it.

Me again.

I bought a wrt610n in the end, the Belkin's firmware was doing my head in.... so If I can have some answers to my questions I may be in a position to supply a router to the cause:

Where would I send it?
Would I get it back?
How long would you guess it would take?

With the right firmware, it could probaby be a good router, but as it is the only thing it's good for is pretty blue lights, so i can pretend its the dashboard of KiTT.

Sash, I should be able to purchase one to be shipped to you by the beginning of next week. I should also be able to throw some 'financial encouragement' your way, too. Nothing much, but enough to say 'thanks' in advance. Smile
