Hi,
My R7000 with DD-WRT was working fine until a few days ago it went into a continous reset loop. I tried a reset, it did nothing. Then I tried connecting to the router directly via LAN cable. I was able to ping the router for 5-10 seconds at the time with TTL but was unable to tftp the R7000 dd-wrt.chk (by kong) as there was not enough time before the router became inresponsive and got a timeout error. I tried the timong ith tftp about 30 times but no success.
Any other ideas how to get it out of the loop? The usb serial cable method seems complicated as I need to open the router, resolder etc.
Nothing changed have not been fiddling with the settings. I ordered the USB to serial cable, will try to open it up and then reset and update the firmware.
I was able to flash the firmware using serial cable to break the loop. DD-WRT did not work so i flashed with Tomato first. How do I go from Tomato back to DD-WRT? Thanks
You should not go from 3rd party to 3rd party. Always go back to stock.
Show us the output from putty when you try to flash dd-wrt. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
