Hello,

I'm on 14929 but i keep getting disconnected from the wifi whenever i turn on my tv box (from my ISP it broadcast tv from the dsl modem to my tv by wifi)
I tryed all the different channels and TX Power but nothing to do still the same thing.
Can't watch TV and be on internet at the same time...
Anyone had a similar issue and would know how to solve it ?
(I can't change anything on the tv box from my isp or dsl box either)

The 2 latest builds from bs are not working on my wrt610 v1

r16754 - not working - no internet access
ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2011/04-09-11-r16754/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt610n.bin

r16785 - not working - no internet access
ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2011/04-09-11-r16785/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt610n.bin

i then had to go back to the latest working one which is this & my internet is back

r16454 - latest firmware that's working
ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2011/03-17-11-r16454/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt610n.bin

i don't know why the latest ones don't work, i tried everything yet i get no internet access to them.

has anyone else tried them on their wrt610n v1 ???

yes, i'm running build 16785 on 610nv1. but not your version, but dd-wrt.v24-16785_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin
wan connection is dhcp, and working. only caveat so far is software reboot, which is flaky. powering off/on always resolves the issue.
other point of concern is nvram usage. after storing as much sripts as possible on the usb storage and disabling all features i don't absolutely need, i've only 167 bytes left....

So you have the EKO bulid which works for you...

i was talking about BRAINSLAYERS 2 latest versions not working for me, wish someone else can confirm that this is not working on their wrt610n v1 too.

I might try the EKO bulid you have as i don't use the extra features in the BRAINSLAYER bulid.

Try disabling WMM in DD-WRT. Let us know if that fixes it.

tried dd-wrt.v24-16754_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin too for a few days with the same findings, but i am more of an EKO build adept. sorry BS ..
btw i am not sure whether a mega build isn't to big ( what's in a name Very Happy ) for a 610nv1

after having problems with bs bulids i decided to go for the k2.6 eko build and so far so good, everything working currently i'm using 16773

ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24-K26/svn16773/dd-wrt.v24-16773_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin

its actually faster for me to go through the gui, bs builds used to take a while to load up through each menu

k2.6 ftw

Here is a slightly newer revision...

http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2011/04-09-11-r16785/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-16785_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin

BS and eko's builds are compiled on the same machine. They use the same base source code. This particular version is just slightly newer... that's all.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/What_is_DD-WRT%3F#File_Versions

Scroll down just a little bit until it talks about the K2.6 builds.

OK, please pardon my noobness, but...I read the WRT610N wiki page, and it does seem a bit outdated. Version numbers are all pretty old, and the "first time flash" links are no longer correct. This thread seems to be a better place for current info.
So my question is, can the builds listed on this forum page be used for a first-time flash on a 610Nv1? I gotta ask, because of this line on the wiki page:
Quote:
If you are installing DD-WRT for the first time on your WRT610N, you need to use a hardware-specific build.

edit: This doesn't seem to be true anymore... information is in dispute.

Thanks![/code]
