BS and eko's builds are compiled on the same machine. They use the same base source code. This particular version is just slightly newer... that's all.

yep just put this one on & its running smoothly, i should have used k2.6 bulids a long time ago. Thanks wrt610 v1 running smoothly

Hi Guys,

I'm having problems with connection speeds the maximum i can get on N is 72 Mbps even sitting the laptop next to the router.

Wireless Physical Interface wl1 [2.4/5 GHz]

Physical Interface wl1 - SSID [Taihoo]
Wireless Network Mode : Mixed
Wireless Channel: 9
Channel Width 20mhz.

I've tried putting it to N-Only(5Ghz) still no luck.

I've tried both eco and bs lastest builds and some earlier builds still no luck.

Laptop that i've tested uses a broadcom n chipset

Is there some setting im missing?

I do have the same problem as benji89.
The router cannot achieve more than ~75 Mbit/s.

This is despite the fact that the router itself shows 300 Mbit/s and signal quality of 44% (~32 dB SNR).
The speed from cable to cable is very good - tested with a 100 MBit/s client and reaching easily 96 MBit/s.
Testing was done using iperf. The client side is a WLAN client, the server is connected with a Gbit cable to the router.
I tried many different DD-WRT firmwares, going back to 14929.

Tests are done using two DD-WRT 610N v1.
One in AP, the other in CB mode.

Is the CPU of the router too small?
System load is roghly ~75% during the transfer.

On a sidenote, does internet access using DHCP work on the latest build 16994?
I'm using 16454 right now as is it the last working version.

Try the test without any security/encryption (i.e. no PSK, AES, TKIP etc.).

N-only is all I've ever used on my 5GHz channel.

My file transfer tests with 300Mb/s connecting routers:

WRT320 <-> WRT610v2 90-110Mb/s
WRT610v2 <-> WRT610v1 max 60Mb/s

The Broadcom 471x SoC in in the 610v2 and 320 is better than the old 610v1.

The latest BrainSlayer newd-2_k2.6 and EKO v24-k26 firmwares can't seem to port forward whereas I never had any issues like this in the past, anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Yes, this problem (although BS says it's not a bug, but a feature) was introduced a few months ago. Here's the fix: http://svn.dd-wrt.com:8000/ticket/1868

Is there a problem with this build? Im having a similar problem = have done the 30/30/30 reset
If I set wl_1 to N only (5Ghz) I can't see the network(SSID), if I set it to N 2.4GHz I can see it.
I have a ABGN card so there shouldn't be a problem.
Im trying to have wl0 on b/g and wl1 on N only

Max speed you can get with 1x1 mimo and 40 Mhz is 72Mbps.
You need a wifi with 2x2 mimo 40Mhz then you get 300Mbps with wpa2+aes
