Yes indeed you can. I am actually working on a do-dad to use one PC power supply to power ALL my routers, nas servers, Nas drives etc.
For my prototype, I am using a PS tester connected to the 24 pin mother board connector. It has the load(s) build in. It is not good to run a PC power supply with no or little load. Back in the day, if you fired up a PS with no or too little load, it would ruin the PS. I believe that has been taken care of in newer generation ps's
Most devices are 12V and a few are 5V so it will work out perfectly. The reason for this project is to eliminate all the power strip(s), wall warts, wire mess, etc.
My problem right now is just getting all the plugs required to connect to the devices. I'm not ready to start snipping off plugs on existing, working power supplies. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
For load (in test mode only) i can use old HDD (200Mb) or 12V light bulb. I think it must be enough. _________________ I can change this world, but G*d doesn`t give me the source (c)

I'e never "created" a new wiki entry. I have done a bit of editing. Possibly ask one of the mods to create the entry so it is in the right spot, then you do the adding & editing.
That link needs data. Hit the edit button at the bottom and enter the data. You might have to answer the skill testing question when you are done....watch for it. _________________ SIG:

I wanna have a Big Red Button with "Internet ON/OFF" on it. And AT PSU is best choice for this situation. [/OFF]
And tell me.. why i can`t repack router in one box with PSU? (With Big Red Button ) It looks nasty? I`m not sure. _________________ I can change this world, but G*d doesn`t give me the source (c)

Dude, get a bigger monitor!
well - my 12V 5A power supplies came yesterday....
Turns out the connector (size and polarity) is a perfect match so no cutting and soldering for me!! (wrt310N)
Immediately, I picked up a 10% improvement in my overall signal between my WRT310N AP and WRT310N CB - from 40% to 44-46%. My signal strength increased and my noise number decreased.
During file transfers I no longer see any chopiness in the dd-wrt or the IPERF graphs. Almost perfect straight lines.
Both units are running fine - no extra heat has been noticed.

I did not have any reboot issues before so I cant comment on this.
More information
I tried increasing my transmit power on my WRT310N's from the 40Mw I had been using back to the default of 70Mw.
Note: I had been using 40Mw as this gave me the most stable connection. Signal was not that strong but it gave the best throughput - I assume due to the cleaner signal.
With both my AP and CB ( both wrt310n's) set at 70Mw - I am getting the best signal strength I have ever seen as well as the best SNR and signal numbers I have ever seen with this device. The units are running slightly warmer (to the touch) but I dont see cause for concern here.
My guess is the radio is now able to generate a clean signal (no clipping or distortion) at the higher settings.
Another note: The stock PSU that came with the WRT310N was 1.0A
At this point I would highly reccomend to anyone to try a better power supply
