Hi

have router linskys wrt54gs.
followed instructions to upgrade it to ddwrt firmware, using vxworks_prep_gs_v03.bin and then vxworks_killer_gs_v08.bin and finaly dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin

Al went ok but now when i try to access router on 192.168.1.1

get this screen which i added as attachment screen shot 1

Can anyone tell me what to do next, as router not bricked, but http access isnt working properly, it looks like engine of control panel isnt runing on router.

When i put in 192.168.1.1/index.html
i get screen shot number two, please note none of the hyperlinks work, so it is like image this page.

Anyone faced this problem ?

your first screen shot is the normal "welcome" screen the user is greeted with after flashing fw and resetting the device. You have to change the default password.

The other screen shots indicate you have to clear your browsers cache & cookies. If that doesn't help, then use a different browser.

I use IE 8 or 6 depending on the rig I am using.

It is probably more related to the browser/computer you are using. After upgrading the router, you seem to be having some kind of network routing issue. You need to clear your cache (both browser and dns), reboot, and/or change browsers.

happens to me all the time

especially when configuring the router after a new flash and i change the IP address of the router before changing the scope of my computer hardwired to the router. (either dhcp or static computer IP)

figured it was just a routing/cache issue.
typically refreshing the affected page/screen 2-3 times fixes it in most browsers.

I have the same problem. I tried clear cache/cookie, refresh the page and it does not work.

The only way it works is the first time when a computer is connected to the router. So I have to use a virtual machine to do this job.

I found you could avoid this by typing in the address, in stead of using history or bookmark, very strange.
