I flashed to 12476 NEWD2 on my WRT600N V1.1 and I can only connect to the 5ghz network when it is set to mixed mode. The only other options are A and NA mode; when NA mode is selected I can see the network but I cannot connect to it. Currently in mixed mode my speed is limited to 54mbps.

Also, when the power settings are set to 82mw on both Wl0 and Wl1 the status page reports both as being 84mw. Setting the power to 83mw for Wl1 does nothing to change this.

Do you have WMM Support Enabled or not? It should be Enabled and you should have CTS Protection set to Auto. Now no more setting discussions. If you want more info PM me, but please try doing those things first.

Any noticeable improvements in signal stability or increased SNR over NEWD build?

The build is nice! speeds are solid and the signal strength is great as well..give it a shot what do you have to lose?

Flashed my wrt300n v1.1 and it works fine so far. Went from the stock linksys firmware, to a specific june mini build for the 300n v1.1 I had downloaded, then to this. In all of this the signal strength seemed consistent with stock.

I dont think the new driver gives a better signal, nor does tx power work. I did notice though that when router load was higher, signal strength was lower, and it got stronger when load decreased. Maybe there is truth to an under powered power supply.

I installed a WPC600N in my WRT350N and the NEWD2 build still bricks it.

Nothing to surprising, but I'd figure I'd share...

REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION:

When I look in EKO's folder for 12476 I find VINT, NEWD and NEWD-2.

I have a WRT-350Nv1.1 and it has been working fine with NEWD.

I am presuming that I can flash the NEWD just fine and not encounter any of the NEWD-2 Bricking issues.

Of course recognizing the inherent risks associated with Non-NEWD-2 builds as it has been up to know.

EKO - Can you confirm please.

You can still run the NEWD....only NEWD2 will brick it.

WRT600N v1.1 working fine here with newd-2 in AP mode. Clients can connect in 2.4 ghz wide channel (1+3) and in A mode. I haven´t tried in 5.8 N mode yet.

My other router, a WRT150N (bought refurbed in CompUSA Tampa FL for $10 bucks, what a steal) is still running Newd. It´s working fine as client bridge in 2.4 N.-

Has anyone had any experience flashing newd2 on WRT150N?
