Works on WRT310N.

I updated from 12188 and hoped that WPS button on WRT310N is working in 12476 :-(

@Eko: Could you please add WPS button support for WRT310N (in reference to SVN ticket 680 and forums topic 54857)???

I think the proper code for /src/router/rc/resetbutton.c should be:

Code:

case ROUTER_WRT310N:
    sesgpio = 0x18; //gpio 8, inversed
    break;

gpio poll 8 gives: 00 - pushed, 01 - released[/url]

newd2 mini running on another 600n v1.1 here, fellas.

Nothing new really to report though since Im kind of green at this. Power fluctuates (checked with Xirrus) but the router is more stable with large chunks of data now where as before it was choking on it. Streaming video was very sporadic where as now it seams to work pretty well.

N wireless only connected at 130 Mb/s instead of 270 no matter what the range is.

QoS seams to be working fine by mac. Havnt tested the other features other than port forward which also is fine.

I just flashed my WRT54G2 with the 12476 Newd2 firmware, and it worked fine. But, I'm going back to the 11296 until there is a perfectly stable firmware released.

I tried the Newd2 when it was first available. Call me a glutton for punishment, the only response I got was lights for the network cables being plugged in. I read the post this evening about pinging the router and if u get a 100ms ttl, to send the tftp and it worked! put the basic micro back on and am gonna try just the newd... Fingers crossed I don't get the flakey wireless thang going on.

@Eko will it be a micro+ssh version for newd2 or it doesn't fit? I flashed my v5 with newd2 micro+ and everything was ok but i really need SSH so i went back to newd.

Which band are you refering to the 130 max speed?

Newd or Newd-2? I thought Newd-2 bricked the 350N????

This is the NEWD-2 ONLY thread. :roll:

NOTE: jjgarciasp's post has been deleted as it contains misinformation as a result of being posted in the wrong thread.

NEWD-2 BRICKS WRT-350N routers. Do not install newd-2 on a WRT-350N! Read ALL of this thread to see what routers can use NEWD-2 and which cannot.

Flashed both a wrt300n v1 and a wrt54g v1.1.

Both flashed fine and working strong.

Haven't had any time to do any real testing but at first glance no major issues.

The 300 V1 is reported to brick with this build. Do you mean a V1.1?

I also wonder about the G V1.1 with it's corerev of 7 or 5

You are talking about this build with the newd-2 drivers?

Just an FYI.

For anyone thinking about trying the NEWD2 on the really old WRT54Gv1.0 units (the reason we still have VINT)....yes...NEWD2 bricks it...requires JTAG to recover.

Eko said corerev=7 and older is probably not going to work...so as a double check....now I've tested it on a corerev=4....he's right.

This is the NEWD-2 ONLY thread. Rolling Eyes

In my post I said NEWD.

Although I see the title indicating NEWD-2, did not see a NEWD ONLY thread going.

My apologies for polluting your thread.

I created an EKO 12476 NEWD ONLY thread in case someone else is evicted from this one.

If you had read the first post, you would have seen that this thread is about newd 2 only and that there already is a newd thread. I tried your link and it is gone, so I take it either you or a mod deleted it.

It is not a matter of polluting a thread. However, again, if you took the time to read this thread, it is about which routers work and don't work with the newd-2 build. When you report that your router works, in a newd-2 thread, and someone else tries to put newd-2 based on what you posted, they brick their router. So the information you provided wasn't just polluting, it had the potential to cause harm. I have deleted it.

That is why there is big red words at the start of this thread.
