I currently use a WRT54G with DD-WRT to connect, in "client" mode, to my landlord's wireless N router (he allows it). Of course, it only runs at "G" speeds. I wanted to be able to connect at faster speeds and more reliably at farther distances, so I wanted to get a router that would do the same thing but work with "N" speeds. I wanted to find out if the WRT160NL would be able to use DD-WRT and connect in client mode at N speeds. I also wanted to confirm whether this router had detachable antennas, which I heard it did.

Thanks.

It's not currently supported. It does have external antennas and a usb 2.0 port.
