So I have a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 as the AP & a Linksys WRT54GS v6 as the repeater, all is good. So when I go look for a wifi signal I get two from both routers(dd-wrt & dd-wrt_vap) but I just want them as 1, I have done my research and linked both routers with WDS(put the main router's wifi mac address into the 2nd and vice versa) but I still get the same two signals. Both of them are on the same channel & I put in the correct MAC addresses.

Remove the virtual lan on the wireless basic setup page.

Better yet, do a hard reset and reconfigure both routers.
