I have a bricked WRT54G v5 router that I just did a CFE flash on and now the LAN port light is correctly lit, but the power light blinks on and I cannot ping the router but I am getting some signal (limited to no connectivity).

Is this when I can do TFTP? I read the wikis and they all said I should be able to ping the router... right?

yessum... sounds like you are good to go but I bet you did not set a static IP on your rig. Without running firmware, there is no dhcp server running on the router.

static ip on your rig: 192.168.1.10, mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1. AV & firewall software disabled.. Now ping that bitch. you will get ttl=100. now tftp the firmware image.
