Ok I bricked it. I have JTAGed the CFE back on but cannot get TFTP to uplaod the firmware. Is there an easier way than JTAGing the whole thing? I have tryed both TFTP util's and no go. Always Times out.

Did you try to erase the wholeflash 2x,upload the cfe only, and then cycle power on the router?

If you are still using the original CFE, then the GS v1.1 is expecting a header G54S, the older GS's units are like this.

I have four of them, still my main router

P.S> Check your PM

First off this thing is not like the v8's. Everything in JTAG works fine, no timing it just right and wot not.

JTAG:

1. Erase Wholeflash x2
2. Flash CFE
3. Unplug Power
4. Unplug JTAG Cable

TFTP

5. Set Rig ip static 192.168.1.10
6. Plug network cable from rig to port 1
7. Plug in power
8. Wait for DMZ light to do a steady pulse, When it is lit on the 3rd time click upgrade. The DMZ light must be lit when you click upgrade.
9. Hard Reset 30\30\30

P.S. Worked great tornado, I'm still workin on geeting the mac address correct I have edited a copy from the cfe project and it always comes up with a generic mac. So I looked at my backup and it looks like a generic mac too. I'll try to edit the backup. Altho i don't know how the backup got changed.
