Just updated to version 19519 on my both DIR-825's, running in a WDS setup. Both seem to work fine (apparently the wifi leds work as well.. they were broken in the last version I was running).
I've had the DIR-825 rev. B1's running without problems (not counting the occasional hiccup) for nearly two years, but last weekend I lost wireless completely. Was only able to recover by doing a 30/30/30 reset and configuring the settings again from scratch (I tried to restore settings from a backup file, but that didn't work).

Been using the router for a while now with stock f/w. I keep coming back to read about updates with DD-WRT, etc. Seems there are still some issues so I am curious (as I've never used DD-WRT) to find out if there are any real gains to switching to DD-WRT. Are the differences minor mostly or are there real gains to go through this process of upgrading and what looks like some kinks to be worked out yet.
Thanks in advance. Have thought about switching to this f/w but really have my doubts.
r19519 just fine no crashes no hangs no reboots no freezes..
Tatsuya - can you comment on QoS in r19519? I had seen your post on another thread that QoS in r18777 and the like is broken in many ways - lack of L7 QoS, no priority by MAC and conflict between the different options.
I have a DIR-825 running a VPN tunnel for streaming and would like to use QoS by MAC and service (I saw a commit where netflix was added to the list of services).

Flashed to r19519, but can't see any change in the QoS page for MAC priority or services
I have been having some trouble since I loaded the latest version to my 825...
DIR-825 rev B1 utilizing the latest firmware 19519
I have charter with the ultra100 connection and when I connect to the modem directly I get ~80-100mbps, but when I connect to the router I get ~15-25mbps. This is on a wired connection using CAT6 cables.
So I have two questions:
First how do I completely reset the setting and make sure all the partitions and settings have been fully reset?
Second does anyone have some ideas on what is happening here?
Thank you in advance! _________________ Linksys E4200 Rev1 >>DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/07/14) kingkong 22000++

Do you have QoS turned on? Try turning it off and testing again, I think the DIR-825 CPU is too slow to do proper QoS without slowdowns (read elsewhere that you need >500 Mhz CPU for proper QoS). I had similar issues with my 100 Mbps connection till I turned it off.
EDIT: I'm an idiot - turns out the QoS page shows uplink speeds first & then downlink speeds but I was entering downlink first & then uplink. No surprise then that my downlink was getting capped to uplink speeds
So remember to check if you've filled in the page correctly!
Hi,
Recently my 825-B1 running r17201 kept hanging (not responding to PING, no WEB UI and no WAN traffic) after every 2-3 days (this has been running fine for the past 2 years). I upgraded to 19519 for the past 2 weeks (ran OK for 1 week, then it started having the problem of hanging every 2 days like the old firmware again). This is with very light traffic and happening between 2-6am in the morning. Anyone have any idea what might be the cause of this since I have not changed my configuration at all for the past 2 years? Would a 30/30/30 reset help? Thanks.
20119 seems to be the most stable recent firmware for me so far. Transferred quite a bit of data with it thus far. No locking up. *keeping fingers crossed*

I have enabled Schedule Reboot everyday at 05:00 am but my router doesn't reboot.
Is this a known problem?
Running 20119 on DIR 825 rev B with CRON and Scheduled Reboot at 05:00 everyday enabled.
Besides this issue the 20119 build are running great without any problems Been running without any kind of issues for 1 week without being rebooted (like new builds normally require)
