A friend of mine bought me a Belkin F5D8235-4 for helping him with his network setup. We got the router for 64$ on clearance. I like everything about the router except the USB is painfully slow and the unit isnt currently supported by ddwrt. The problem I have is the WRT320N has just went on sale here for 109$, and it is currently supported. (still in early stages though). I am just wanting opinions on whether I should take the belkin back and pay the 25$ or so to get the wrt320N or stick with the belkin. The belkin has pretty good reviews on most sites, especially concerning wireless range, and throughput. The Belkin supports jumbo frames (the linksys does not), and it has the USB support (albeit very slow) that the linksys doesn't have. The only advantage I can see with the linksys is the dual band, but I really don't see any use for that in my future. Both units have plenty of ROM/RAM to support my bittorrent habit, but the linksys has the faster processor. (Belkin= Ralink RT2880F @266mhz, 32mb/8mb / Linksys= Broadcom4717A@354mhz 32mb/8mb)
So, as you can see, I have almost made up my mind to keep the belkin. But, something is telling me to trade it for the linksys.

BTW, the unit I pick will be used as my main router. I have several other unit to run ddwrt on and tinker with. I really have no mandatory requirement to run ddwrt on my main router.

Its not broadcom based. Its Ralink. I posted the specs above. Also, in this thread:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=53235&sid=ecb1824fe5cf8feaf40fa4c23b6feb2e

It talks about this router and you ask for a board there to port it to. This site has pics and info on the board itself:

And I never asked you to. I wasn't asking for a port for the belkin device, I was just asking for an opinion on the 2 devices. Also, if you would have bothered to click on the links provided, you would see that YOU posted in the thread, was given the information, and said
"now we have gerneral Ralink support

but we need a donated device here in germany
..no board no port..."

I'm not trying to be a smartass here sash because I know you in good with the devs, but at least try to read the post before you answer with a snide comment.
