Hi all,

I'm trying to follow the serial to 3.3v TTL adapter described in the following wiki http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WRT54GL_MAX232_Serial.
The circuit diagram from that wiki does not show a ground connection on the board (TTL) side of the drawing.

Diagram from wiki:-

Do I presume correctly that as the power for the adapter, which is derived from the routers 9v power supply, that the ground for the TTL serial port is present but just not shown.

The reason I ask is I want to power my adapter from a separate 5v power supply and, therefore, I guess I will have to provide the necessary ground connection from my power supply.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
