Question.

I have an Actiontec pk5000 and am rearranging my network.
Does the pk5000 work as a switch and segregates internet wireless requests to the yellow port (if connected), not broadcasting them to the 4 10/100 ports?

I currently have it setup in this matter:
Dsl into the house to my dsl modem
Dsl modem to 10/100 switch
Pk5000 port 1 of the Ethernet ports to the 10/100 switch
(The yellow internet port is not plugged into anything)
Printers and file server plugged into different ports on the 10/100 switch.

This is up and working.

Would it make more sense/better throughput to change it to:
Dsl into the house to my dsl modem
Dsl modem to the yellow port on the pk5000
Pk5000 port 1 of the Ethernet ports to the 10/100 switch
Printers and file server plugged into different ports on the 10/100 switch.

My thinking is that when the wireless pcs, which are mostly used for internet surfing, would be routed to the internet port for internet access, and not floods the 4 Ethernet ports with internet traffic.

Or should I just leave alone because its not worth changing?

sorry.
I am running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/08/11) mega
(SVN revision 17990M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko) on the pk5000.

Not sure it matters if I am running the OEM firmware or the DD-WRT, so I though I would start here.
