Hey all, had ddwrt on alot of routers trough the years, and now i had my first bricked one, it just gone dead one day, and blinking power lead, sounds when i read around like the nvram reset thing...

problem is, i bought a USB TTL 3.3v serial cable
(TTL-232R-3V3)

when i put the connectors on
Code:

wrt320n  -  ttl cable
1 3.3v   -  vcc (red)
2 tx     -  rx   (yellow)
3 rx     -  tx   (orange)
5 grd    -  ground(black)

i connect at the virtual comport (com3)
115200 baud, no parity, 8bit, 1 stopbit, flow control none

but i dont get any connection life sign via putty on com3...

i have the connectors pinned to each place with a match and two plastic wtf u call it you hang clothes with them...

also have the power cable in to power up the router.

would be nice with some feedback, dunno if im totaly stupid but i have worked as a automotive electrican so i think i got alittle knowhow but not with ttl stuff...

snowy greetings from sweden...

fyi, soldering solved the problem, it was a connection issue..

now i just have to learn how to reset all, but that was alot of that in the long wrt320n thread.. Smile

See the peacock announcement note 11. Make sure you also read the serial recovery wiki article linked in note 6. Use stock firmware.

So Flashed and working,

The thing i missed was, that when i connected ground, tx, rx, vcc it seemed to be powerd up properly, but when i connected the external poweradapter, it worked as a charm, booted the firmware okey, i went tru the orginal linksys, then the mini_wrt320n one, then the big "real" one... and it seems to work just as it should, so case closed..

Thanks for the help, kinda missed the peacock thread...
