Under vLan, the "w" column should be in
VLAN 0 or 1?

put it in my c:\

opened cmd prompt and typed the tftp command

i hold the reset button,
unplugged the power,
plugged power,
unhold the reset button,
hit enter

gives me a timeout. tried 4 times.

Did you set Manual IP to 192.168.1.33 default gateway 192.168.1.1 ?

VLAN 1

PS:the one which has been ticked and you need to uncheck then apply and save. then Tick it again then apply and save

The other way is using telnet 192.168.1.1 root/admin, then input:

nvram set vlan1ports="0 5"
nvram commit
reboot

Is there an easier way to get these than doing this and seeing what happens?

Code:

gpio enable 1
gpio disable 1
etc...
etc...

Manual gpio detection can be easy enough.

I made a spreadsheet with the gpio commands in it. Simply copy/paste from the spreadcheet (in openoffice or excel) into your DD-WRT telnet session. You can even "shotgun" a column of several commands in sequence to see if you get any effect, then go back and do them one at a time to narrow it down. So far I've used this method to find the LED and reset gpio's on my USR5461 and USR5465 routers.

Here it is. Enjoy.

HI, i just bought this router but i decided to use tomato because i dont need that much customization.
Does anyone know which bin file i am supposed to use
theres:
WR850G.BIN
WRT54G_WRT54GL.bin
WRT54GS.bin
WRT54GSv4.bin
WRTSL54GS.bin

or do i use the 1.27 ND which only has one TRX file?

I just update the firmware like normal right?

Your router is not supported by Tomato.

I don't know, afaik your router is unsupported for now....wait a while.

You risk breaking (bricking) your new router each time you flash unsupported firmware.

people at linksysinfo have it running tomato with just flashing the firmware, oddly enough the stock firmware will run on a wrt54g but mac addresses will be messed up.
