Indeed it is. However, everything I find seems to indicate that the logical choice would be PHP over ASP. Simply being "Linux based" seems to me to be reason enough to chose PHP unless there's a compelling reason against it.
ASP.NET has the benefit of being compiled... however doesn't PHP also with Zend?

ASP is for just Windows server systems and has similar simplicity to Windows. PHP however is free and is available for all platforms but is more complex. I am trying to learn PHP right now and some of the commands are similar to BASIC (Program Coding) but there are some things that even I can not understand yet. It really depends on what you know and have available to you. _________________ Linksys WRT350Nv1 x1 DD-WRT v24-preSP2 14311-Not In Use

I appreciate your response, but I am asking specifically about the DD-WRT decision to use ASP for the web interface.

As far as I can see, DD WRT's web interface is not coded in ASP. The file ending in the web interface might pretend that, but the actual interface is created with C and CGI technology.

Correct. ASP and PHP are both too bloated to fit in the firmware. _________________ Read the forum announcements thoroughly! Be cautious if you're inexperienced.

Interesting. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I was so thrown off by the *.asp filenames that I only glanced at the actual code.
