Hey guys, just wondering... In the first post, "Buffalo WHR-HP-G125" is listed as a supported device. Is this a typo? Because I couldn't find such a device.

The reason I ask is because I have a Buffalo WHR-G125, and I am wondering if I could run K26 on my device?

I quote LOM from page 12:

"Buffalo WHR-G125 works when replacing the original cfe with the cfe that Tornado has made for WRT54G v8.
Only the board data from the original cfe has to be moved over to Tornado's cfe."

I am not sure how to do this... Has this issue been fixed since March? If so, I'd appreciate it if anybody could point me in the right direction on which file to install on my router. That is, of course, if I would benefit at all from running K26 on my device (since it is relatively old).

Thanks in advance...

Are there working CFE's for 350n or 600n(v1.1) that will allow for k26 builds to run?

I see cfe's on the barryware site for both models, but am not sure if they are just snapshots of exiting ones, or modified ones.

thanks,

looks like GS 1.0 is K2.6 supported. i installed openwrt Kernel 2.6 on it. there was only a wifi driver issue. same may count for dd-wrt builds..

The wifi driver is a primary factor in whether a model can run the k2.6 builds or not. The NEWD2 driver is BIG and LOM figured out that the older CFE's don't provide enough space to load the kernel with the big fat NEWD2 driver. You can't tell if DD-WRT k2.6 builds will run on a model based on your experiences with other firmwares...

Howdy guys,

I read through the thread and I know that some of you are looking for a more current cfe.bin from a WRT-600n v1.1 to play around with.

Well does this work?

root@DD-WRT 600n:/tmp# strings cfe.bin | grep 2007
boardnum=20070615
cfe_ver=4.109.11.3_20070615

Let me know if your interested and I can upload the cfe.bin to you.

Sorry not willing to brick my unit since it is priceless and my core router at home. Sad

My Asus WL-520GU has a CFE version 4.131.31.0, newer than what said in previous post.
I can't test the ram values because i don't have serie or jtag cable.
Do you think it will support the k26?
I've just send it to the Cfe collection project.
If someone else wants it, pm me and i will send it to you.

No it will not, it is copied to ram in such a way that it doesn't give enough room for loading a bigger build like K26.

I pm'd you about this some days ago, still nothing, and i do not see where you added it to the CFE collection, or i would have downloaded it there.

I'm looking forward to that. I only used the 150 as a bridge so now I'm bridged at 54m not 270m like I've been used to on the desktop.

I'm going to attempt to flash my wrt300n v1.1 to 2.6 now.

Hopefully you have proper recovery methods before you attempt this?

The wrt160nl is an Atheros chipset, it already uses K2.6

Very doubtful those 2 will be added, this post is mainly for K2.4 units that have the ability (or possibility) to run K2.6, the E2000 and E3000 have to use K2.6, so its not in question.

I want to use the usb port on my wrt600n v1.1 and my unlimited 3G android phone as my home wifi and my path to the internet wan, respectively. Is anyone working on this? How would I check progress on this issue? I can't afford to brick this device and I have no jtag to unbrick it.
