Has anyone running WRT54G-TM's noticed the newer K26 build don't seem to work any more? I tried to upgrade from eko svn14205 K26 BIG which ran great for many months to the most recent eko svn15508 mini BIG and any other I could think to try it just failed and I got a constant ttl=100 while pinging. Web upgrade and tftp both fail with these newer builds. Any one have any thoughts? _________________

No thoughts butt where you been be'yatch
My TM is my spare that I put into service when the RT is on the bench.. I only run std_nokiad builds (k24) on the TM. It has an SD mod and runs optware (otrw) and mypage.
How come you run K26 on your TM? Not an insult or anything.. K24 runs faster than K26 on the older "legacy" routers (240 mhz or under processors)
Running K26 on a "slower" router is like running vista on a machine designed for win98.
My opinion... (based on testing)
Good to see you on the forum again..
EDIT: I guess that was a thought. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
The k2.6 kernel source were updated recently and support for some hardware is no longer in the new sources. I don't know if that's the reason it's no longer working on your TM but it is why BCM4704 CPU's are no longer supported by k2.6. _________________ Read the forum announcements thoroughly! Hey Barryware, good to be back around too. I don't know why I just started running it when Eko released a version that would work on the TM's. I'll go back to the 2.4 Kernel builds I guess.
phuzi0n that makes sense to me I'm sure that must be the reason. Thanks for the info. The TM's have a BCM5352 chipset BTW. _________________

I has built firmware image for Asus WL-500gP v2.
Firmware image probably also works with Asus WL-520GU, Asus WL-500W.
Is this a one off build or have these changes been added to the baseline. As such, do the latest v24-k26 builds from eko and bs support the WL-500GPv2 routers?
Thanks,
Geoff..

For short, it works, but there are many problems: requires boot-loader upgrading, wireless has problems, it's slower, etc. It doesn't worth it. NTFS r/w is now possible on K2.4 too, so I'll stick with K2.4. _________________ ASUS WL500g Premium V1, CFE 3.91.7.0;

I has added ticket 1849 with information about to run kernel 2.6 on WL-500gP v2. You may test patches attached to ticket.
Because ticket not closed, probability in not added to baseline.
Old devices are no longer supported by k2.6 builds. Devices now use either k2.4 only (old hardware) or k2.6 only (new hardware). _________________ Read the forum announcements thoroughly! Be cautious if you're inexperienced.
